I am a Finnish composer and professional musician. I have been composing from age 6 and working as a composer since 2015. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Music Composition from Sibelius Academy and a Professional Musician degree with violin as my main instrument from Joensuun konservatorio. I compose music for a variety of ensembles, from solo to full-on symphony orchestra works. I compose to professionals, students and children alike. I believe that music is for everyone and that everyone deserves to play, sing and listen to music they love. I draw most of my inspiration from nature, especially Finnish nature, which is often quite perceivable in my music.

What’s the point of making music?
To me, the point of making music is to feel things and allow other people to feel things also. Music, at its best, helps people to connect with their mind’s and soul’s inner layers. That is why it is worth it to make music for a living, even in the most uncertain of times.
My diverse musical interests reflect in my style of composition. To put it simply, I like and use all kinds of stylistic elements in my music. Tonal devices and tonal musical language are especially dear to me, but I do use many other kinds of elements whenever they support the atmosphere and narrative of a piece. Most important thing to me is that the music has meaning — its existence has a purpose. Music has such power! When used wisely, magical things can happen!
I get lots of inspiration from nature. Forest is my safe place and my (best) workshop. If I encounter a problem, I go there to think.
